Details on city auction properties now available online

Approximately 124 properties that have been foreclosed on by the City of Amsterdam will be up for auction on October 25 at 10am at the Riverfront Center in Amsterdam. Collar City Auctions, who will run the auction, recently posted a full catalog of the properties which will be up for sale. The catalog includes pictures, property values, and tax information on each property.

On October 24, there will be a pre-registration and informational meeting at 6:00pm. Registration will also be open the day of the auction between 8:30am and 10am.

Three properties listed in the catalog may be withdrawn, however. On the common council’s agenda for this Tuesday’s meeting are three resolutions which if approved would remove three different properties if the owners make full payments of back taxes and fees before October 5. The three properties are 52 Milton Avenue, 54 Tremont Avenue, and 226 East Main Street.
