Amsterdam Youth Soccer Club players had an exciting day of competition last Saturday morning with eighteen teams in four different recreation leagues taking the fields at Amsterdam High School.

McNeil Family 8, Mycek’s Legal Eagles 5
Goal scorers on Mycek’s Legal Eagles included Jayden Brathwaite, Jayden Ortiz, Edward Oare Jr., Malachi Williams, and Eva Mycek. For the McNeil Family, goals were made by Jackson Lasher, Samuel Huckans, Landon Gatto, Anja Gatto, and Jaylynn Dennison
Kyle’s Bounce Rentals 3, Alpin Haus 1
Michael Amanat Jr. scored one goal for Alpin Haus. Anderson Burtt, Elizabeth Navarro, and River McBroom each scored a goal for Kyle’s Bounce Rentals
Dick’s Sporting Goods 4, Home Helpers 2
Joell Vega scored two goals for Home Helpers. Ava Vargas scored two goals for Dick’s Sporting goods with Mason Green and Quinten Edgar also scoring one goal each.

Naomi Orsini scored the lone goal of the game for S&G Medical Transport, also playing the position of goalie along with teammate Anayiah Meyers. Michael McVeigh played the goalie position for NY Connects.

Zachary Becker scored three goals and Ryleigh Phillips scored two for Cioffi, Slezak, Wildgrube PC. David Ackerman, Mathias Pereicichi, and Tyler Korona also added one goal each. Moises Morales scored two goals for Mary S. Brown, Attorney at Law with Jacob Villanova and Natalee Agresta scoring one goal each and Jacob Villanova and Morales tending the goalie position.
Mead Plumbing 4, Miller Printing 1
Conner Meca scored two goals for Mead Plumbing, along with teammates Jasmine Pena and Madison Mead adding one goal each, and Austin Araya tending the goal. Emma Miller scored one goal for Miller Printing with Jack Sweeney and Jared Gilston tending the goal.

Knights of Columbus #209 3, McHeard Family 1
Jhai Vellon scored two goals for the Knights of Columbus #209, along with teammate Giordon Bonanno with one goal, and Hunter Holman on the goalie position. Madison Cebula scored one goal for the McHeard Family with the goalie position tended by Garrett McHeard and Alex Kline.
Spagnola & Spagnola 4, China Wok 1
Lorenzo Bottisti, scored two goals for Spagnola & Spagnola along with teammates Marco Bottisti and Noah Tatun with one goal each, and Jaylene Cintron on the goalie position. Evan Iannuzi scored one goal for China Wok and Juliana Barone-Lopez played the goalie position.
AYSC recreation teams will play again tomorrow starting at 9:15 at AHS.
