Hanna, also a Running Rams starter this season, was chosen to the Foothills Council Second Team that included Johnstown senior Devin Boyle, Hudson Falls junior Cameron Jett, Queensbury senior Brett Rodriguez, and Schuylerville senior Zachary Pierce.

The Foothills Council Third Team All Star team consisted of Gloversville senior Jacquez Nails, Johnstown senior Jamal Vasquez, Queensbury senior Jonathan Dennett, and a pair of Scotia-Glenville juniors in Trevor Martin and Sean DeGraffenreid.

Joe Girard III of Glens Falls was named the Foothills Council MVP. Girard III entered the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Section 2 basketball record books when he scored 52 points in a game against Amsterdam back on December 15, 2015 at Amsterdam High School. Bergh scored a season high 34 points for the Running Rams in the 87-82 loss.

Bergh reached a milestone this season when he scored over 1,000 points in his career to break into the top five of Amsterdam High School boys basketball career scoring list. The senior point guard for the Running Rams is also among the career leaders in three points goals at Amsterdam High School

Both Bergh and Hanna were part of an Amsterdam varsity team that snapped two time defending NYSPHSAA Class A champion Scotia-Glenville’s 74 game win streak in Section 2 boys basketball.

Amsterdam defeated the Tartans 58-52 in overtime on January 12, 2016 to break the streak, and then won a second game over the Tartans on January 26, 2016 with a 57-46 triumph at Scotia-Glenville High School. Bergh and Hanna teamed up for 33 points in that contest. Amsterdam became the first team in over three years to beat the Tartans twice in one season. Bergh and Hanna also teamed up for 56 points in a 83-82 overtime win versus Queensbury on January 8, 2016 at Amsterdam High School.

Only a late season loss to Broadalbin-Perth kept the Running Rams from claiming their first Foothills Council South division title. Amsterdam finished 10-4 in the Foothills Council, second to Scotia-Glenville in the South Division, and completed a 16-7 record overall, advancing to the semi-finals of the Section 2 Class A tournament with wins over Bishop Maginn and Averill Park before falling to Troy 73-68 after a late fourth quarter surge by the Flying Horses.

Bergh and Hanna were part of an Amsterdam starting five that included seniors Keenan Holloway, Matt Fedullo, and Ben Rhodes. The 2015-2016 Amsterdam Running Rams featured a total of eight seniors that also included Brian Serrano, Gehrig Garner, David Crawford, and Bryan Stanavich, also juniors Dale Stanavich, Anthony Aponte, and Devon Valentin, and sophomore Louis Fedullo.
