The Amsterdam Lady Rams varsity soccer team honored ten senior members of the Class of 2016 on Tuesday night at Lynch Field prior to their game with Gloversville. All ten seniors started the game including team captains Cassandra Robataille and Kaitlyn Devine, both five year varsity players, and captain Diana Constantine, a four year varsity starter. Also, Kaitlyn Burkhart, Aubrianna Crowe, and Cloe Reynicke, all four year varsity members, Kayla Abbatisti, and Kayleigh Carrero, who also celebrated a birthday Tuesday night, both three year varsity members, and Megan Grant and Ashley Johnson, both in their first year on varsity.
At halftime, the Amsterdam Lady Rams soccer program recognized AHS soccer alumni including members of the Big 10 championship teams from 1999-2008. The Amsterdam Lady Rams coached by Rich Monroe won ten straight Big 10 titles and advanced to the semi finals in Section 2 playoffs several times. Amsterdam moved to the Foothills Council last season.
