9/11 memorial dedicated at Riverlink Park ceremony

Area residents gathered at Riverlink Park in Amsterdam yesterday for a ceremony dedicating a memorial monument comprised of a beam salvaged from the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The event included elected officials, members of the city’s police and fire departments, veteran’s groups, clergy, speakers, and musicians.
