Things for kids to do this week at the library and museum

The Amsterdam Free Library, 28 Church St, Amsterdam, has free programs Tuesday through Friday beginning at 10:30am.

  • Tuesday, February 17, 2015 – Lego Day

    Stop in to build with Legos and become a Master Builder! Stay for the movie and a Lego themed snack.

  • Wednesday, February 18, 2015 – Recycled Book Art

    Use discarded library books to create anything from poetry to a new painting.

  • Thursday, February 19, 2015 – Beautiful Birds

    George Steele visits and teaches us about local birds. Make a birdfeeder to see which birds you get in your backyard. Stay to watch Rio.

  • Friday, February 20, 2015 Teddy Bears – Picnic

    Bring your favorite stuffed animal and have a teddy bear picnic!

The Walter Elwood Museum, 100 Church St, Amsterdam, is holding a President’s Week Camp for Kids, from Tuesday to Thursdya, 9:30am to 12:30pm each day. The charge is $10/child and includes all supplies.

  • Tuesday February 17: Learn the history of Mardi Gras
  • Wednesday, February 18: President’s activities, arts & crafts
  • Thursday, February 19: Chinesse New Year artifacts
