The Amsterdam Lady Rams basketball program hosted its annual free clinic for girls in grades 1-8 this past Saturday at Amsterdam High School. Coaches and players from the Lady Rams varsity and junior varsity teams were on hand to help teach the game of basketball to more than 25 participants. The clinic is now in its 15th year and led by Amsterdam varsity coach Eric Duemler who instructed area youth in the basic fundamentals of the game and concepts of teamwork. At the conclusion of the two hour program, girls were divided into four teams based on age groups and played scrimmage games. All participants received a certificate in recognition of attending the clinic.
