Herkimer County Community College is hosting an Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10AM-5PM and Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 10AM to 4PM. Admission is $4 for the event. All proceeds benefit Herkimer County Community College Foundation to provide scholarships to HCCC students. Jewelry, clothing, specialty foods and more will be offered by vendors.
The Glove will be hosting their 5th Annual Fall Craft on November 8, 2014 from 10AM-3PM at The Glove Performing Arts Center. Food and refreshments will be available at their concession stand throughout the event.
Fort Johnson Fire Company located on the corner of Route 5 and Route 67, is having a Pancake Breakfast from 8AM-1PM, Saturday, November 8, 2014. Adults $8, Seniors $6, Children and Veterans (with ID) $4.
There is a Snowmobile Safety Course at the Town of Florida Fire Department, Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 8AM-4PM. Must be 10 years old or older the day of the course and must pre-register with Marilyn Sawyer (Instructor) by calling 518-842-7874. There is no Fee and lunch is available.
United Presbyterian Church at 25 Church St, Amsterdam will be having a “Baked Potato Bar”, Saturday, November 8, 2014 from Noon-2PM. Includes baked potato, toppings, water or lemonade, salad and cookie for $5. There will also be a bake sale and raffles.
Science Festival of the Capital Region at miSci (museum of Innovation and Science) discover wall to wall science and hands on fun, begins Friday, November 07, 2014 from 9AM-5PM and continues Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 9AM-5PM and Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 12PM-5PM; each day is Free with Admission. The festival is hosting 45 presenters from throughout the Capital Region.
There will be a Holiday Craft and Flea Market, Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 9AM-3PM at Pawling Hall, Hagaman.
H.U.G.S is hosting a November fundraiser, “HUGS Help The Homeless Event” at The Barrel Saloon Rock & Roll Country Bar in Albany Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 1PM-5PM. The event is $10 per person and is a family friendly event, featuring live music from the Skeeter Creek Band, song from singer songstress Jenni Alpert and a special guest speaker. They will be accepting donations of Hats, Umbrellas, Gloves and Scarves for the homeless.
High Rollers has an afternoon skate from 1PM-3:30PM for $5.75 on Saturday, November 8, 2014 and will also be celebrating “National Nacho Day” during their Saturday Night Skate offering Nacho’s for ½ off. Saturday Night Skate is from 7PM-9:30PM admission is $6.50. Sunday from 1PM-4PM for $5.75 and Sunday evening from 6PM-8:30PM for $5.00
Robert Lee Walsh American Legion, 19 Main St., Broadalbin will be hosting a Veteran’s Appreciation Day from Noon-5pm on Sunday, November 9, 2014. This is open to Veterans and the public. Refreshments will be provided.
The Veterans Day Ceremony in the Town of Florida will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 1PM, at the Veterans Memorial Park at 214 Fort Hunter Rd. There will be a dedication and blessing of the Korean War Memorial, as well as special performances and appearances.
