Open to students who are entering PreK – grade 6 (ages 4-12 years old)
This is a great opportunity for the youth in our community – come learn a valuable skill and cool off in our awesome olympic sized pool!

All Friends of Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site members and the public are invited to attend the June meeting.

This program will be held in the Enders House adjacent to the Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site Visitor Center on Schoharie Street in Fort Hunter, New York.

This is a FREE event open to the public.

From the salvaged sounds of American juke joints, back porches, honky tonks and rock clubs, The Suitcase Junket conjures an entirely new sound in this essential rock collection, Pile Driver.

The Suitcase Junket is Matt Lorenz: artist, tinkerer, swamp yankee, one-man band. His is the road-worn voice rising over the grind of a tube-amped dumpster guitar, with wild double pitches of throat singing. From The Suitcase Junket’s penchant for thrift and ingenuity comes this full-length album — his debut at Signature Sounds — of original rock anthems, mountain ballads, blues manifestos and dance-hall festivity, played on instruments built of broken bottles, twisted forks, dried bones, gas cans, shoes, saw blades, a toy keyboard, and an overhead compartment’s worth of luggage.

MVCKids, MVC Youth Chorale, and the River Valley Ringers will be performing at Riverlink Park for a special July 4th Celebration. Food trucks, beer & wine under the tent, free facepainting, and more!

8PM – Albany Symphony will play selections from “Water Music” along with American favorites like “Stars and Stripes.”

Water Music NY is a musical experience two centuries in the making, and a cross-regional celebration of the bicentennial of New York’s Erie Canal. Emerging composers have immersed themselves into canal communities and created new compositions in partnership with local arts groups and the Albany Symphony.

Through a seven-day musical journey, award-winning artists and composers of the Albany Symphony will perform and collaborate with local arts groups to premiere these one-of-kind pieces along the canal.

Erie Canal bicentennial falls on the tricentennial of the premiere of George Frideric Handel’s Water Music on River Themes, which inspired the projects title. Pieces from Handel’s Water Music will be performed at each concert along with the premiere composition and classic Americana music.
