Lenten prayer at St. Ann’s, Pax Et Bonum fund raiser

Reverend Neal P. Longe of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Amsterdam, NY has asked his church leaders and congregation to pray for one another as well as for “God’s blessing and provision on us, for new people to be drawn to Christ, and for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.”

“This is a partnership between the clergy who have committed to pray and continue to pray all year, and the lay ministry, to try to get the parish together during Lent. We’ve already had enough people sign up so that every family in the parish will be prayed for every week during Lent,” said Longe.

St. Ann’s will also hold a “hymn sing” on Saturday March 8 at 6 pm.

Pax et bonum, parent company of WOPG 89.9 FM and 1460 AM is holding their last days of a semi-annual fund raising drive this Thursday and Friday from 9:00am to 6:00 pm. They are a 501 (c)(3) not for profit company, so all donations are tax deductible. Funds will go to the continued operation of their two radio stations in an attempt to spread the gospel to the Capital District. The number to call to donate is (518) 212-2244.
